How do I register my organization?
To sign up your organization, log onto your SocialWorldSocialWorld
Site and click ‘Organizations’. Click ‘Add’ and fill out the details.
Once your organization has been set up, you can begin to invite your
members, create events or collect monthly dues.

How do I join an organization or club?
To join an organization, you must be a member of a SocialWorld site
If you are a member of SocialWorld SocialWorld, your organization
must first be setup in SocialWorld. If your organization is setup,
then search for the organization. When you find your organization,
click ‘Join’. If the organization you are joining is a ‘members
only’ organization, the organization administrator must approve you
first. Otherwise, you will be added to the member list of the
organization.
How do I start a blog?
To use any of the social networking features of SocialWorld, you must
be a member of SocialWorld. Once you are member, you can blog two ways:
on your personal blog or on your organization blog. To blog on your
personal site within SocialWorld, create a blog click ‘shortcuts’ then
‘widgets’ and the select ‘blog’. This will add it to your personal home
page. Once it has been added, you will be able to blog. To blog on your
organization site, the blog widget is added to each organization by
default. Go to your organization, and click ‘blog’ and create ‘entry’.
How do I create an event?
There are two types of events in SocialWorld. There is a simple ‘bulletin board’ type of event and then there are events that require pre-registration and/or cost money to attend. The latter type is done via our partner, Acteva. Only special Organization members (usually officers) can create Acteva events but anyone can create notification events. To create an Organization event in SocialWorld, your organization must be setup. If your organization is setup, then, from the organization home page select ‘Configure Organization’. Then select ‘Network Event’. This will allow you to create an event that is visible to the entire SocialWOrld community. Individuals can create events from their profile page. From your profile page , click ‘Create Event’.
For Acteva Events the Organization members allowed to use Acteva will find an “Acteva Links” module on their Organization home page. From there you may create an event, publish it, send out invitation, monitor registrations and sales, aand see how much money your event has made. To create collect money for your events in SocialWorld, your
organization must be setup. If your organization is setup, then from the
Acteva module (described above) create your event. While creating your
event you will need to define the the amount to be charged for the event
(much like a ticket price). Payments are collected online via any major
credit card or PayPal.. In your organization setup for Acteva (under the
Account’ tab), you will need to make sure you have defined the
remittance address for your account. This is where Acteva will send a
check withy your evnet’s proceeds. Remember, there is a fee for
processing payments so your proceeds will be your price less the
processing fees. You can see these fees under the Acteva Account tab,
under the Contract/Fees menu item.
How do I RSVP to events?
To respond to public events in SocialWorld, you must be a member of
SocialWorld and – if it is a private, members-only event, you must be a
member of the organization within SocialWorld. If you are, go to your
organization’s calendar and find the event you want to attend. If it is
a public event, go to your home page calendar and search for the event.
Once you have found the event, click on the ‘I want to attend link’ link
on the event summary.
How do I collect dues for my organization?
Dues or fee collection can be automated using Acteva events, included
in SocialWorld. To collect dues or fees for my organization in
SocialWorld, your organization must be setup. If your organization is
setup, create an event for the memberships dues or fees collection. Set
the price of the event to the due or fee amount. Invite people (using
SocialWorld member broadcast or Acteva’s “Previte” email function) or
make it a ‘members only’ event and the users will be notified. The money
collected is via a credit card from users, just like other events. In
your organization setup for Acteva (under the Account’ tab), you will
need to make sure you have defined the remittance address for your
account. This is where Acteva will send a check with your
membership/dues collection event’s proceeds. You can use Acteva sales
reports to see who has paid. This data is available online anytime.

How do I share my pictures?
You can upload photos to your profile, create galleries, and share
these photois with your organization or your friends. You can also paste
the sharing code into your blog from other sites, like YouTube and
Flickr.
